GV Chinese Association Morning Tea Gathering: A Fresh Start for Our Community!

Last Saturday, the GV Chinese Association held a warm and inspiring morning tea gathering at the Ethnic Council in Shepparton. After a long break, it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new friends—all coming together to share ideas and reconnect as a community.

上周六，GV华人协会在Shepparton多元文化委员会举办了一场温馨而富有启发的早茶交流会。经过一段时间的停摆，很高兴再次见到许多熟悉的面孔，也结识了不少新朋友，大家齐聚一堂，共同为社区发展献计献策、重新建立联系。

Highlights of the Day | 活动亮点

  • Many local Chinese community members joined the event, with people of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.
  • We were honoured to have a special welcome speech from the Ethnic Council, showing strong support for our community.
  • Former committee members shared valuable stories and memories, helping everyone understand the history and achievements of the association.
  • Through group discussions, we explored ideas for future activities, community support, and how to build a stronger, more inclusive GV Chinese Association.
  • Many participants expressed interest in joining the new committee, and we shared information about nominations and next steps.

Save the Date: AGM & Mid-Autumn Festival!

We’re excited to announce that our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Mid-Autumn Celebration & Mooncake Making Event will be held on Saturday, 11 October 2025. At the AGM, we’ll vote in the new committee and share plans for the coming year. Afterward, we’ll celebrate Mid-Autumn together with hands-on mooncake making—fun for all ages and families!

我们将于2025年10月11日（周六）举办年会（AGM），并结合中秋节庆祝及月饼制作（品尝)体验活动。年会将选举新一届委员会，介绍未来发展计划。活动结束后，大家可以一起制作/品尝传统月饼，欢迎全家参与！

We are currently seeking funding for this event. Once details are confirmed, we’ll announce the exact time and venue—so please save the date and stay tuned for updates!
